Testimonials

"Amy has guided us through pregnancy, lactation, and on to weaning/solid foods with our child. Now that I am a doula, she has provided me with materials for my clients, and makes herself available to those in need of specialized nutrition counseling. My husband and I trust her expertise and value her perspective and evidence-based suggestions. Over the years since having our son in 2017, we have consulted her on a variety of nutritional concerns. She supported me during pregnancy by providing information on how to have a healthy, vegetarian pregnancy (as I’ve been one for 20 years and wasn’t comfortable eating meat again).

When our son was struggling with eczema we both cut out dairy and gluten since I was still breastfeeding; she helped us ensure we were still getting all our nutritional needs despite cutting out a large part of our diet. Additionally, as we weaned at 18 months, she provided a dietary analysis and comparison of all the options for human-milk substitutes based on what she already knew about our son’s health and preferences. She has provided reassurance and tools to ensure we were empowered to provide a well-rounded and practical diet for our young son and ourselves.

Amy understands the undeniable connection between nutrition and our overall wellbeing and helps make that possible for us all, wherever we might be in our health and wellness journey. We’ve sincerely appreciated her guidance and recommend her to anyone
looking to address acute or chronic health issues. She is also available remotely, which has been super convenient for us!"

Amy gave me graduate-level knowledge, simple guidelines on nutritional changes to make, and encouragement to do so, resulting in greater energy and a better life. The benefits remain four years after we first started.  Amy did a comprehensive workup of my nutrition, blood work, and health. She gave me information that I keep and still use, including my notebook of references. Her guidelines included reducing sugar, eating 5-7 servings of vegetables daily, and adding two supplements - individualized for me, based on her extensive workup. As a recently retired triathlete at a healthy weight, weight loss wasn't my goal, but I soon lost 10 pounds and have remained at that lower weight ever since - it feels better. When we spoke about exercise, she said do what is fun - it changed my gym time to play-based workouts.

I also asked Amy to work with my 98 year old father. She reviewed and researched his nutrition, especially the many supplements and vitamins he was taking; she reassured me he was doing himself no damage.

In short she improved my life!
